baser999 Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Dean (with some 'assistance' from myself) will be giving the car the Auction valet tomorrow - hopefully we'll be able to post up some before and after pictures. Now lets see, do I have time to go and make the car dirty ?
markie Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 You do realise your be doing the work while Dean sits there drinking tea[][]
baser999 Posted July 13, 2006 Author Posted July 13, 2006 Quote You do realise your be doing the work while Dean sits there drinking tea[][] Well so long as he makes it.....if he thinks I'm gonna be making him tea as well [] I'll check up on the exact services offered by way of this auction lot before I set out tomorrow to see if theres any mention of tea-making - any way its for a good cause innit []
SCOOBYTOO Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 well between drinking cups of tea i managed to get Barrys car cleaned.[H].......... here's a few shots before he gets it dirty again[:@] thank you for your support Barry[Y]

granby Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Seriously though that looks beautiful [Y] all you have to do now Barry is keep it that way []
baser999 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Posted July 14, 2006 Quote Seriously though that looks beautiful [Y] all you have to do now Barry is keep it that way [] There really isn't a great deal I can say - the car looks absolutely stunning - sadly the deeper the shine the deeper the door dings but hey they can soon be sorted. So, a HUGE thank you to Dean who worked tirelessly from 0930 through to just gone 6 tonight, without any assistance whatsoever from me. We all know the amount of time Dean puts into the appearance of his own car and the awards he wins for those efforts but having seen him working today I do not in any way doubt that he paid any less attention to mine as he does his own. We should of course all bear in mind that Dean has today devoted all of his time and efforts in aid of the Richard Burns Charity and I really don't know what else to say without embarrassing him further. But once again, a HUGE THANK YOU M8. Also thanks to Sarah for making tea ( I even got out of doing that ) and to Chloe for providing the ongoing entertainment [] If anyone needs to buy Sarah a present for her birthday / Christmas ...............she needs a watch [] Sadly, the front of the car is all covered in flies from the journey home up the M2 / A2 . I tried hard to steer round them and surprised they didn't just slide off that oh soooooooooo shiny bonnet but I'm wondering if it was the creosote fumes that got them []
granby Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 What no bacon sarnies [] oh i know they are just for me []
baser999 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Posted July 14, 2006 Quote What no bacon sarnies [] oh i know they are just for me [] If we'd waited for you to provide bacon sarnies we'd still be waiting []

In case you're wondering, Chloe eat it []

baser999 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Posted July 14, 2006 Quote Markie was working late today then [:^)] We'd already spoken to him about 10 and he said he was in Reading - presumeably he'd stopped for breakfast on the way there, had a cuppa when he got on site, went to the loo and decided that was it and set of for home [] He's obviously not signed on here tonight to create the illusion that he was too tired after such a day []
granby Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Oh yes he did sign on earlier but it is Thursday which means strongbow night
