Malfunction Indicator Lamp is on :(

Good morning,

My check engine light is on permanently when you boot her up. It stays on and doesn't blink.

HELP

Any ideas what this means []

I've got a 53 plate wrx.

Neil, take it somewhere with a select monitor and they should be able to tell you what the fault code is, and indeed what that fault code relates to. Any of the dealerships should be able to hook it up while-u-wait if they're nice.

Failing that I could plugin my R-Vit and see what it coughs up as it supposedly reads the ECU fault codes. Only takes 2 minutes to do. You'd need to get a list of codes though as it only tells you the number, not what it actually means.
