slo2 Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Trying to take the pads out for id purposes and to scallop the outside one which is rubbing against the hub but can only get the top and btm bolts out (the ones which go through the pads ) the larger middle bolt (could have sleve ) which hold the two billets appart is absolutly solid have tried tapping with hammer, wd40, no movement. This bolt does need to come out to allow the pads slide out doesnt it? Any suggestions ? I hate mechanical problems...
slo2 Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 Give me an hour to try and re open my photobucket alc.

z1000 Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Never worked on those specifically but i would say unbolt the caliper and take them out the front as i presume the pads are now loose with top and bottom pins removed.
slo2 Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 Away to do this but they are held on by M10 allen bolts, may prove to be interesting
slo2 Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 Got them done. Thanks for the idea to remove the whole calliper. All the studs and nuts were totally covered in lock tight and being alluminium they are easily damaged. Away for a test run now that the footies over.
z1000 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Glad you got it sorted i always look for the easy way out !
