deani_age Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Had a great time at Brands today. Thanks to Deano for preparing the car (and sharing the driving) and Arron for the free driving lessons. Will post some photos when I get them. Seems we didn't go un-noticed. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=523096 Deano, have you stopped grinning yet? Here you go Dean, pics added for you [] Pele [A]
Pele Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 With Arron in the car you had a good instructor - he came out with me my very first time on track and I learnt a lot from him [H] Glad you had a brill time []
XR-Wayne Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I want to try and get to Brands this year.are there any plans for SIDC to organise sommin?
deani_age Posted June 16, 2006 Author Posted June 16, 2006 If there is enough interest from Kent Scoobies / SIDC members, I would be happy to try to organise a Trackday or Half Day at Brands Hatch, on behalf of the club. If I am allowed?
Pele Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Of course you're allowed [] If people want to sort out things like this they are more than welcome, just as long as they sort it from start to finish and don't abandon it halfway through [] If my help or advice is required I'm quite happy to assist, but ultimately it's the person who started organising the event that does all the chasing for money etc....
granby Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 If there is enough interest from Kent Scoobies / SIDC members, I would be happy to try to organise a Trackday or Half Day at Brands Hatch, on behalf of the club. If I am allowed? Have a word with Phil Stephens as he arranged a track day at brands on the 6th Feb this year (and at a very good rate) which i went to and it was very successful as it was fully booked []

calder Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 take it easy at Brands guys, i had a bit of an off on a test day in late May in the pissing wet, came off sideways at the top of paddock hill, went across the gravel, wheels dug in and the car tipped onto its side in the gravel. Fortunateyl in the beemer not the scoob, eveyhting all right except timing belt had jumped so suffered some slight valve damage. It's been running and raced since with bottom end rebuild but i'm rebuilding the head this weekend. so take care guys. I might be up for a trackday sometime soon with the beemer if that's ok? mmm scooby baiting, fun...
