bigbadboab Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I am after these. (this is not a link) IMPREZA WRX GDAGDB 03+ BASIC SA QSS28-CVSS2 £470.00 £552.25 €690.00 -35 -20 incl Sti, Wheel P.C.D 100mm only Is the ride hieght adjustable on the basic model? I would prefer no more than -25 front and rear. I'm not after total performance/ultimate handling, which is why I am going for the basic setup, with whitline droplinks as well. Our Gus helped me fit my new splitter and I put the top alloy mesh on and it just needs to come down a bit all round to get the look right.

paulc555 Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Hi mate I got a complete "basic damper" set fitted at Hypertech around a month or so ago now, following one of my sti shocks going pop.....I have to say it has completely transformed the handling of the car.....The ride height is adjustable but I got Duncan to set mine to the highest settings for better handling on bumpier roads.....the car looks and feels so much better now, the turn in at roundabouts is just fantastic now........well worth every penny.....only my opinion though.... cheers Paul

I just wanted to get a general veiw on what folks think. The handling of mine is not what I expect for this type of car, although it's good, its not sharp or accurate enough.
jobg Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I would go for KW version 3. Better all round damper with independent bump and rebound adjustment. I found the Tein Basic to lack low speed bump damping and have excess low and medium speed rebound damping. All in all not much grip and slightly to much uncomfort. Just my opinion........................
steven_williams Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Fitted Tein Flex with EDFC to my Bugeye last November. It took a couple of weeks to get used to the different ride characteristics, now it is not a problem and witht the EDFC can be easily adjusted to your requirements. With 16 settings front and 16 settings rear (can be made to 32 each), 2 settings for front ARB and 3 settings for rear ARB. I aint going to do the maths but thats a lot of tweaking to be done. Best of luck with your choice Steve
