prodrive tony Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Hi guys, if by some rare chance I stall the car it wont restart for ages. Any ideas, is there a time delay or any other protection. Thanks guys. By the way, this new turbo doesnt come in until around 4000 revs, is that normal?? Its a td05 16g. Thanks again.
Deano 666 Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 hello tony, 4,000 rpm is normal, the bigger the turbo the longer it takes to come in. mine comes in at around 4,000 rpm. if you stall, switch ignition off, then on, wait for engine check lights to go out, then re start. if not you have a fault.
prodrive tony Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 With the front mount aswell its well laggy now, big bang though I hope, cant go over 4000 yet!!! I think im being to hasty on restart like you said. Once again your the man!! See you soon for a oil change etc.
Wee Jock Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Get yourself a set of Harvey,s headers like Granby's, that will bring your lag down by about 500rpm! [Y]
