graeme_stuart Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Saturday 6.40 pm. The road to Ramsey from ballacraine was cr@p. Got to Kirk Michael at no more than 50 mph, and got stuck behind a bike doing no more than 40mph. Then thought to myself, why the hell am i bothering.Heard on the radio that the mountain road was still shut at Kates cottage.Anyway, got to Ramsey and continued to the mountain warning sign.It was not on. Got to the Ramsey hairpin ,and a big sign flashing saying."ONE WAY"...Could not belive my luck. The mountain had just opened. I had almost the whole of the mountain road to myself one way..Apart from some 2 wheeled machines passing me doing more than 130/140 in parts. What a hell of a ride.[][][][] .See you all on the road tomorrow. Graeme S.
ASTiMAN Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I came up Injebrek to Brandywell and couldn't believe my luck as there was nothing - absolutely nothing on the course because of a crash. Took windy corner at 100mph then wound it up to 145mph through to just before Kates and had a scare when I saw the cones taking my line! The Homestayer in with me said no way would he be able to stay with me on his MV Augusta F4! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.
graeme_stuart Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 Nice one m8.[] Its is a totaly a different experience when you can use all of the road.[]. I headed for an early lap yesterday, but got to Ramsey and gave up. Took me ages to get back to Peel. Should have known better.. I think i past you round about union mills. Have you got a number 63 or there abouts on your doors. If so the car looks very nice, stands out a mile.[].
ASTiMAN Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Yep that's me - number 63! I need to take the number boards off from the Bray Hill event, but am just a little worried about peeling the paint.
Cret Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Try getting them hot and they should come off easier, either with a hot air gun or very hot water. That's what I've heard from a lot of people before but not actually tried it myself.
