Mid Cat Removal is a remap needed????

Currently on my car ive got the Afterburner Vortex back box and centre section, id like to get the next stage of the exhaust which is to remove the mid cat after the centre section, what id like to know if it is save to remove this cat without the need for a remap,

I wouldnt have thought so, if it was the DOWNpipe then maybe yes, some members will say different!

I recon you should be ok only removing the ctr cat as it is the downpipe along with its cat that is the most restrictive part of the exhaust.

If you were changing the downpipe I would deff say yes.

If you are still concerned give Mr F an email and he will be able to put you mind at rest.

(Sti 8 doesnt have an uppipe cat)

Yeah....you'll be ok without a remap for that mod...

On the exhaust side of things..why don't you try Meercat???

You'd be surprised how far you can go, on the Standard ECU, without a remap.
