st3ph3n Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Costco have Snooper S6 for £100 + Vat. Damn good price. Nearly bought one myself to replace my road angel which is a bit chunky and old hat looking. You know me with the shiny gadgets.
Digital Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Very tempting, especially for the likes of me who currently has nowt. I take it thats the equipment price, then theres a subscription cost ontop of that?
st3ph3n Posted May 22, 2006 Author Posted May 22, 2006 Yes. I believe it's £4.99 a month to get the updates, or you can pay a one off or yearly fee that works out cheaper. It's quite a good looking unit. Much nicer than my classic road angel.
weeb Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 good price!! a just bought a new road angel! may need a hand to hard wire it in tho!! av nae fag lighter in me scoob! (am not allowed near firestarters!) got any pics stephen?

iain_ogston Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Tesco are selling talex lite one for 70 quid. GPS only no radar. Think it can be updated via subscription.
shugo Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Tesco are selling talex lite one for 70 quid. GPS only no radar. Think it can be updated via subscription. Bought a talex from woolworths yesterday. Every time you start the car an american bird tells you to fasten your seat belt but apart from that not bad for £70. And yes they can be updated via web
stuart_marshall Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Amazon have the normal Talex (not lite) for £70 too (plus postage probably): http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...5667067-0880738 I've got one. Seems great except for one thing: On motorways, the warning is still only 500yds away, which seems a bit short, as you can see the likely bridge well before it tells you about it! I'm not sure if you can adjust the warning distance though.
iain_ogston Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Thought this was too good to be true!!! Then found.... Comments: - Please note this price is for The Talex Lite model, we also sell the full Talex for 99.99 Still 99.99 includes 12 months subs (35 quid for talex lite) so still a saving of a fiver
stuart_marshall Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 I was sure I had only paid £69 as well, but I just checked my account and I paid £100! Although mine was actually from Amazon rather than armour-automotive.
