O.Z.Z.Y Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Hi there, I have a problem with a loud clicking noise from the engine when i turn my ignition onto the first position when the fuel pump and the electrics turn on. It will also continue once the engine has been started. Does anyone have any idea of what this might be? I've read on a few posts that it might be something to do with the boost solenoid or the boost pipes needing cleaned. I live in Edinburgh and would like to know if there is anybody in the area that could come and have a look at it. Thanks, Ozzy. PLEASE HELP !!!!
drb5 Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Sounds like it defo is the boost solenoid. Does the car go ok? Boosting ok?? Ontop of the drivers side suspension turret, is a couple of units. One has 3 pipes going to it. If you can, disconnect it and spray some carb cleaner in it and into the pipes to and from it. It may still click from time to time, but it's nothing to worry about, unless the car isn't going right.
O.Z.Z.Y Posted May 21, 2006 Author Posted May 21, 2006 Thanks for that mate. I'll have a look but im not very hands on with this type of stuff !!!! Cheers, Ozzy.[]
