G.T. Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 never mind grasshoppers the sccob owners are droppin like flies at the mo, im thinking of moving house again and the 1st casualty of the move will be the scoob as it costs more a month than my mortgage. what you getting next mate
Johnny50 Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Mine is also about to come up for sale. Think it's just coincidence that we're all selling at the same time.
wrxmania Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I'm not selling - jeez, I've nearly paid for it...at last [] Good luck Ian. [Y] Brian []
dipsy Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Is it coming to costly to own a scoob now or people fed up with them and moving on
billyboy Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Im looking at other cars too. Get rid of the squib. Billy
derek_robertson Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 I'm happy with mine[] Good luck with your new motor Ian[] Del
ANDYJDMSTI Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Is it coming to costly to own a scoob now or people fed up with them and moving on Looks like high fuel prices are weeding out the chaff!!!! IMHO
corsa Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Quite true Andy, if you cant afford to run it dont buy it,buy an escort diesel. Why do people continue to say oooooohhh i dont like the driving position,i dont like the performance blah blah blah Why not just say you cant afford to run it. be honest its best policy!!! Anyway, all fuelled up ready for a wee jaunt on Sunday[]

Anyway, all fuelled up ready for a wee jaunt on Sunday[] Good points Dave, at the end of the day i have a car that i drove a total of about 80 days last year and will never drive more than 90 days a year. I still pay the insurance and mods cost on it..............................Cos i make it worth it and like it so much!!!! I also still pay the fuel for the old man to keep it running when i am not in country, the lucky sod is getting more used to it everyday.......so up the fuel billl goes!! []
dipsy Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Your out the country a lot .What do you do for a living if i may ask.
derek_robertson Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Were not all well healed and can afford a 22B Del[] "You only live once" is my motto Billy, you too could work 7 days a week & buy one. Not any dearer than a rattly STi & much more fun to drive[][] []
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Sorry to hear that you are selling your whip ......... My car is my hobby and life is for living IMHO ........ it used to skin me £600 a month but I saw it as a Leisure Mortgage so did not bat an eyelid. It's now paid off though which is nice. W.r.t fuel, tyres, insurance etc - I actually would rather spend my money on my car these days as I ain't clubbin' 8 times a month like days of auld. I can now get loans of 3% APR from my work so toying with the idea of a new Scooby but my fiance wants a VW Golf ( boring I know) so that my come first. In the meantime I am on a quest to get more ponies and still enjoying the scene in here.Once my wedding & honeymoon are oot the road I'll be modding like a mo-fo. As for fuel comsumption........never concerned about petrol prices and never calculate MPG. Maybe a poor attitude but I cannot resist driving swiftly when able to do so see no need to keep any eye on fuel bills. Moan the Scoobs !
SEEVERS Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 As for fuel and mpg, like our new admirer of the sheep(he he couldn't resist bud) i too never take this into consideration with the Scoob, even though i used to with other cars that i owned which were less thirsty than the WRX. As soon as you hit a bit of road that needs to be hammered(within the limits of course)every money concious thought goes straight out the window....i personally like to watch the fuel gauge drop as i floor it. I find the driving position very comfortable also.I say..."buy a Scoob, try it,if you don't like it,get rid" simple as that,no big deal. Just my tuppence worth. Del.
andrew_duff Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 SEE YOU , wouldnae want to be you [] life without a scoob , no sure if Im ready for that yet , saying that I may also be selling up shortly but I will defo be replacing with another one . Andy. "Dont be a stranger Ian" see you soon.
