st3ph3n Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 We've got a few audiophiles here. My Pioneer DEH-P8600MP is having some issues. Put the face on this morning on my way to work but nothing turned on! Jiggled the face a bit and still nothing. Can't get the face off either. Is there some sort of emergency method to remove them? The manual is nae use at all.
baser999 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 You haven't locked it in some way have you? I leave the face on my Kenwood attached in the car all the time as it flips itself over when I turn the ignition off, but if I press a wrong button on it when its on, it will flip over and lock itself.
SEEVERS Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Stephen, could be your wee connection strip is gubbed, these are always for sale on fleabay for about 9 or10 quid....sorry dunno how you can sort the non movement prob though. Del.
st3ph3n Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 A stroke of genius/moment of brute force! I went out, removed the dash (it's easy when you've done it enough times) and then just yanked the face plate. Bobs your uncle it didn't come off but it did turn itself on. I'm guessing connectoirs could be on their way out so I will fish around for some on ebay and clean the current ones with a bit of alciehol.
