mur69 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Posting to say big thanks to Harvey.Went down to Darlington, to get service done by Harvey at Paul Stablers Basically went for all transmission changed, set of plugs, fuel filter, timing belt, earthing and stabilizer kit to be fitted, and go from option 1 headers which i have had on for two years, to Harveys option 2 headers. The down pipe was taken off to be wrappedand Harvey pointed out this was restricting performance, so a down pipe was sourced from Roger Clark Motorsport. As the down pipe would be delivered next day, i was invited to stay with Dawn and Harvey overnight and enjoyed a lovely steak.A big thanks to Dawn. Harvey took accelleration figures before mods, and we went out, after mods to check improvements. Spool to 10psi was 200rpm earlier, and 15psi was 300rpm earlier. Over 3 secs was knocked off accelleration time from 1500 to 6000 rpm. Thanks again Harvey for your time. ps Harvey source a clutch please since yesterday its slipping like mad. Cheers Murray.
dougster Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Nice one Murray!!! Harvey knows his stuff alright. Sorry I haven't returned your call but my recent w/es have been madness with weddings. Give you a bell during the week.

RS Grant Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Whats the difference between Option 1 and Option 2 headers then mate?? Good to hear it was a worthwhile trip!! [H] Cheers, Grant
mur69 Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 Hope we are doug Grant option 2 is different collector and up-pipe Cheers
harvey_smith Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Cheers Murray. Your clutch will be here Friday. Option 1 headers are ported OE headers and ported OE uppipe. Option 2 headers are ported OE headers but with different porting to the collector section and a new purpose designed, slip jointed, heat wrapped uppipe replaces the OE. Murray already had option 1 and converted to option 2 with full heat wrap.
