Wee Jock Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Just been to the SIDC shop, thought I would get 2 t-shirts for the weekend, 1 for me the other for the wife! Reasonably priced for a club t-shirt £20.50ea or so I thought! The following are the details from my cart the checkout stage: Poloshirt x 2 £20.50 £41.00 Delivery Charge £13.85 Sub Total £54.85 Applicable Taxes £9.60 Total £64.45 for a t-shirt to cost £20.50 to suddenly cost £32.225 is shocking! Anyone else feel the same?
granby Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Well the prices are + VAT but i must admit the delivery charges do seem excessive
Wee Jock Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 Well the prices are + VAT but i must admit the delivery charges do seem excessive Yeah, also think its plus vat for delivery too! I could post a Turbo for that price! Its also not clear in the shop if the tax is included or has to be added later, it only quotes the vat rate!
phil Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 The shop is under review because it isn't clear re the VAT and Delivery being added later New Items are added fully inclusive Unfortunatly as the club does not stock any item these are all one off orders so there is a premium for that I can say however the quality is excellent [] Once the shop software is upgraded we will look into adding further items into the shop with a braoder range of quality HTH

phil Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 We don't make a penny on this stuff !! Indeed they want to increase postage cost Sorry
Wee Jock Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 We don't make a penny on this stuff !! Indeed they want to increase postage cost Sorry Phil, can I ask how the shop setup works? pm if you want! regards Paul
Wee Jock Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 Is the shop really a third party who make for example, Polo Shirts with the SIDC crest on them? Then the goods are displayed on the web-shop ,you purchase the shirt from them and they post it out1 cheers Paul
phil Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Oh I see what you mean No the shop is run by us we just forward on the orders Phil
Wee Jock Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 Phil, so you run the shop, forward the orders to who? I take it the postage is at their discretion? Dont take this wrong and I dont mean to be rude if it comes accross like that, but its ok paying good money for a quality product, but the product has almost a third of the price on top for postage! I bought 2 x SWRT T-Shirts today from SWRT and it cost a total of £40 inc pp, I would have preffered to purchase the SIDC T-Shirts but to be honest, I just felt the postage was a way of making more money out me. If they had posted both T-shirts for the price of posting one then that would be fair enough! cheers Paul
Wee Jock Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 Ok Phil, cheers for all the answers and sorry about all the questions! [Y]
