Will a WR1 fit on the Seacat?

Hi

Having already booked on the Seacat, I thought that I should check whether I'll actually fit up the ramp. Can anyone please confirm if I'll be OK? [:^)]

The WR1 is standard.

Slowly!!, then it should be fine as they do have a rope mat for when tide is out and they will watch you on and off.

And we have had at least 3 or 4 WR1s over as well as having a local one

The ramp on/off at Liverpool can be tight for lip spoiler but my 05 was ok, the only problem could be when you get back to liverpool if there is a swell as then the ramp of the boat goes up an down a bit, you just have to pick yer moment then!.

Thanks Richard

We're coming over on a house hunting trip next week & I booked the Seacat because the timings fitted in well. I then got a cold shiver down my neck worrying about getting onboard! [:$]

I'm certainly planning to pop in. When are you open, is it a petrol station or car repairs, what's the garage called?

A general question about petrol. I've used Optimax from new in the Scoob & I will probably need a refill on the island. How do I get the right fuel? Do I buy regular or SUL & where do I get octane booster & how much do I put in?

Thanks guys, any advice about petrol & octane booster?

My MY06 JDM STi although mapped for optimax, ran fine on Total Excelium plus bottle of millers Octane Plus per tank full

I also keep to stronger octane boosters here at the garage as well(CVL & CVL Turbo).

Or Shell super is available over here (not my site)  and then add the above

Everything went well on the ferry. The Seacat was cancelled at Liverpool when we came across, so we drove up to Heysham to take the Ben-my-Chree.  Does the Heysham terminal remind anyone of an old Doom level?  Getting on the ferry was fine & once onboard, the distances between cars was good. The trip was a bit stomach churning though. We went back on the Superseacat2.  OK to get onboard, but a little tight navigating once on the board. There was a couple of tight turns. The vehciles park closer on board, but we were waved into a little triangular section in the stern.

I did some pretty poor mpg on the island, only managing about 175 miles per tank, instead of the usual 250 miles in the UK.
