Charliep Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Your standard boost selonoid will do the job. Bleed valves are not very good mate, I got a spring and ball bearing type boost controller, only because my boost selonoid has failed and couldnt see the point in buying a new one from Subaru at £100 when a dawes device for £30 will do a near similar job. I am not running a massive boost increase at all and it works fantastically. There are plenty of good options on Ebay for £25. good luck. Charlie
Guest The M@trix Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 A MBC is a spring and ball bearing type boost controller. A bleed Valve is different all together, and as said is Not Very good. in fact its not safe as it fools the ecu into thinking you are running lest boost than you are. therfor you are not running the right map for the level of boost. a MBC sets the boost level to whatever you set it to, the ecu sees the true boost you are running and adjusts the map to work with the level of boost you are running. as long as its within the boost cut limit.
