STi_Bandit Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Ayrton Senna <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />March 21st 1960 – May 1st 1994 I’am sure many of you remember back to 1994 and watching the tragic events unfolded at Imola, It still touches me some 12 years on how we lost a amazing racing driver, I would like to take a few moments of your time and watch the videos of how truly talented senna was and take a moment of thought and reflection on his life Ayrton Senna will always be the best ever! He was not just some ordinary driver he was special and gifted. Racing will never be the same without him. He may be gone but he will always be with us in our hearts! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...nna&pl=true http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9...nna&pl=true http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=85...nna&pl=true http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=23...nna&pl=true
tony_eldridge Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 No one could ever replace a great such as Senna! []
creationracing Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Still remember that day, got home a bit later than expected so thought I'd only have missed the first few laps of what should have been a great race, only to find the red flags out and marshalls attending to Senna. Spent the rest of the day glued to the motorsport page on Teletext (no internet back then) waiting for any good news, very upset when it didnt come. Truly a driver who could take an average car and make it look like something special... And was daft enough to take a drunken swing at Eddie Irvine! [] Doesnt seem like 12 years though does it?
derek_robertson Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 One of F1's finest drivers forever gone but not forgotten.
shocker13 Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 one of the best - not like the playboy tossers we have now adays
road warrior Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Seems like only yesterday i was watching it all unfold on tv, a sad day indeed He was a true talent and sadly missed, i doubt any of todays computer controlled car drivers could get anywhere near him.
