Fuel problem?

Comeing to a complete stop at a T junction today, braking hard from about 70 the engine completely died!!! Almost a full tank of fuel so no chance of drawing air. Never happened before , any clues ?

check for a perished or loose pipe / connection in and around the brake servo pipe /s hth !!

btw where is habbieville ?? kilbarchan ??

is the car not mapped or rough on idle? overfuelling?

or as davie said, a pipe ie the return fuel pipe may have come loose, check it before you drive it

i could smell optimax last week and then the car died and fuel sprayed all over the place.

How hot was the car? My guess is your idle control valve needs cleaned out.
