Is it just me or do scoobies depreciate like no tomorrow?

Looking around pistonheads and the classifieds from here and prices really seem to have stumbled.

2 year old Sti's with prodrive are going for £15K-£18K, they were £30K new!!

What's a mint 2 year old scooby for £17K going to be worth in another 2 years?  £8K??

Not quite 30K, but yes, they are depreciating quite a bit just now. When I was looking in May 2004 for a car they were holding their value a lot more than they appear to now. At least in dealers.

Have you looked at an import Gareth? I got a Euro Import WRX brand new for £16K. STIs can be had for £21K I think.

I should also add that although they depreciate financially they'll always be appreciated round these parts.

i thought i would have been ok buying a UK car but theres too much

imports comming in and buggering up the market IMO why pay for a UK car

when you can pay less for a import and get a better car at the same time
