FastScooby Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 What is the recomended setup for the track, is it wise to adjust the anti roll bars to stiff rather than leaving as default? Tyre pressures (Depending on weather conditions)?
st3ph3n Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Not sure about the ARBs, but I up the tyre pressures by 3 or 4 PSI usually. The first time I went on I didn't and I utterly molested the shoulder of the front passenger side. Last 2 visits have been fine though, and that was using the same RE050 type of tyre.
Gumball Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 i wouldnt change that bar unless you want to go tail end into something that doesnt move, like the wall. If your car handles well, has good brakes, good oil, no engine issues then thats enough. Make sure you check your oil before you go on. Thats the biggest advice i can think of.
wilky Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 On KH I use the following set up, this is my opinion and Im sure others have a differing view, however, 1 3/4 degrees negative camber front 1 1/2 degrees negative camber rear 2mm toe in all round. this will not only give you a good posture on track but is also favouable on a fast road setup depending on how stiff your suspension is. The 2mm toe at the back gives you a more settled rear on the turn in, the 2mm toe in at the front sharpens the turn in but will feel a bit strange until you get used to it, it also will help if you left foot brake. These are all just my personal opinion. Callum W
andrew_lally Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 get it tail happy....eliminates understeer and makes for quicker entry and exit speeds...but if you shut off mid corner you will be picking kitty litter out o your rims for weeks hahaha just go standard mate....take it easy for a few laps then you will be flying!!!! scoobs do well up there....loads o grip even when you get it slightly pear shaped....full throttle usually pulls them straight!!! have to agree with gumball on the oil situation though regards andy
