johns Posted June 1, 2001 Posted June 1, 2001 For the thrid year running, we have been invited to attend a multi-club car show at the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford, some 20 miles west of Aberdeen on the A944. The day starts off at about 10:30am, and goes on until around 5pm, when the various prizes are awarded, and the raffles drawn. The SIDC will have an exclusive display area for our cars (we had more than 20 cars last year!), and a prize awarded for the best looking car on the day. As well as the static displays, there is a small sprint track which will be in use throughout the day. The cost to use the track (one car at a time) was a mere £5 last year, and again there are prizes for the best car(s) on the track. There are various trade stalls selling a wide range of motoring related goods, as well as food outlets. A great day out for the family, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Miles Posted June 9, 2001 Posted June 9, 2001 Who is all planning on going to this? (Want another shot on the track
johns Posted June 12, 2001 Author Posted June 12, 2001 I'll be there obviously, plus I guess a few of the regulars I hope the track isn't as slippy as it was last year, as with all the mud it was more like a gravel rally track in places
johns Posted June 12, 2001 Author Posted June 12, 2001 UPDATE !!! A social gathering with beers and curry will be arranged for the Saturday evening More details to come...
Scoobienut Posted June 18, 2001 Posted June 18, 2001 John, Thanks for arranging the Alford meet, it was v. enjoyable. What was the top time/top Scoobie time on the day ? Simon
johns Posted June 18, 2001 Author Posted June 18, 2001 Simon, I'm not sure, as I had to leave early. Miles would perhaps know ?
