bodyshop repairs

Well a bit embarassing for a first topic on here but i need some advice on bodyshop repairs after a incident in a car park today with a post.. All my fault but bascially i have put a dent in the rear passengers door about the size of a hand, along with a few scraches and taken off about 2 inches of paint on the rear wheel arch!

I live pratically next door to the Walldonway Subaru garage and hopefully as they are a main dealer they should do a good job? Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them for this type of work and what their prices are like? If not does anyone know anywhere else nearby who they could recommend? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Sorry no-one has responded to you on this one mate. Normally people are quite quick on this sort of thing.

The dealer will outsource it anyway, so you might be better fining out who they use.

I use a local guy in Strood for all my stuff and will gladly give you the owners number and a referral if you want to PM me yours. Although your best bet is to get a few quotes locally.

When you do, fund out how much the door will cost to repair as an individual part, as It might be easier to source a new door in the same colour.

From what you have said though, it does sound quite minor.

had a dent knocked out of mine and a large scratch resprayed from a local garage and cost me £150 ,

the dent and scratch was on the top half of the door so only needed to repair top half , spray job was blended into the crease in the middle of door.

where is the damage to your door?

Thanks for the advice, been around a few places so far and most have quoted around 400-500. The dent covers both the upper and lower part of the door towards the back, i've been told its repairable but haven't considered a new door so will have a look into that.. Everywhere i've been to has said i will need quite a large area covered to blend the paint in correctly, both doors and rear wing so i think that is increasing the cost a bit!
