Wee Jock Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Easy one this! [*-)] Which turbo should I run on my car, TD05 or VF34? Which has the higher boost and which one can has the highest BHP rating? Thanks for your help wee jock FMIC, WALBRO, 550 INJ, FPR, APEXI POWER & AVC-R, FULL SCOOBY SPORTS DE CAT
granby Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Well it all depends on what you want, i have a VF34 on mine and they are supposed to be good for about 350bhp, on mine with a full decat & Harvey Smith headers i'm getting 336bhp and it starts to spool up from about 2500rpm and by about 3300rpm i'm getting full boost. [] The TD05 comes in various models (18G & 20G being the most popular) which i think are good for upto 400bhp, these turbos will spool up later but have a bigger hit as long as your engine can take it. With your setup i would stick with the VF34 unless you intend to go for any other major mods (ie stronger engine internals - stronger gearbox etc) Ian
