chris_c201 Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Folks, My stoopit battery has decided enough is enough.. died a couple of months ago but had been ok since apart from the occasional alarm chirp on cold mornings.... Yesterday leave work after the gym and its totally flat despite nothing being left on in the car... get a jump start, fine going home then again this morn its dead so i need to pick up a new battery tonight really.... Any suggestions..... anyone know the specific rating of the battery in a newage and lastly how much roughly should i expect to pay?? Cheers Chris

Rice Rocket Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Thats a good price C, pity I've not got a Costco card! RR
chris_c201 Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Hmmmmm...... My brother has a card and may be able to pop over on his way home from work... I'll maybe see if he can... Vicki - I'll let you know how i get on either way.... Cheers Chris.
chris_c201 Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Looks like i'll try and get the battery from costco so will be fitting it myself... Quick Question - Is it possible to have the car running and transfer the batteries over purely for laziness purposes like not having to re-tune my radio and stuff..... If not and i have to cut all power completely will this cause any issue's with immobiliser? Cheers Chris
colin_ross Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 BTW, Costco's crappy booklet that tells you what battery you need doesn't cover Subaru's. You need the 6PN.
chris_c201 Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Cheers mate... just as well you said that or i would have been puzzled.... 6PN, 6PN, better write that down, lol
