slo2 Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Had a little blast at the proving ground today bbut was completely deafened by wind noise at arround 130. Sounded like the windows were getting sucked out. A high pitched almost whistleing ...... couldn't hear the radio. Any ideas? (Car is a my98) John
ANDYJDMSTI Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Seems like a pretty common Subaru pain in the a$$
slo2 Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 no way man! This is serious. The bug eye is as good as gold. The Classic is like no wind noise at125 .....nothing but wind noise at 130.....cant even hear the exhaust. Do I have to buy a noisier exhaust !!!!!!!
st3ph3n Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I think it's the wing mirrors. Try taping up the gaps and going out to your private test track again.
johnnyr6 Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 They all do that, you get used to it. it's the wind pressure overcoming the window seal on the pillarless doors. Fisrt time i experienced it a shat myself, thought the rear window had just caved in.
