Anyone running Tom Tom on a PDA??

Alright Folks,

Looking to buy a PDA through a HCI scheme in my work before it gets scrapped.....

It comes with "Destinator" nav software and has an integrated GPS Antenna, only question i have is should i be able to load Tom Tom on there instead. I don't see the make / model on the Tom Tom website but it runs Windows 2003 for mobiles so should it be a standard format?

I have a pda with tomtom navigator, it has the external globe for gps. It is about 2 years old now but working really well.

tomtom version i have on the pda is navigator 3.. this one works well.. and is more friendly than version 4, also have POI edit to update the camera locations for Gatso as well as mobile.

The original navigation software that came with the PDA was medion navigator, that is probably more acurate than tomtom, but tomtom looks better, plus the wifey talking is not a grumpy C** [:)]

I use TomTom Navigator 5.2 on my T-Mobile MDA Vario. Which is a WM2005 phone/pda thing. I use that with an external bluetooth gps unit.

If the PDA you're thinking of getting has an inbuilt GPS unit then TomTom should work with it if the inbuilt GPS runs off one of the com ports on the device. Can't say for sure that it will as they might have engineered it to stop people doing that, but it should be possible.

i use TomTom Navigator 5 on my hp ipaq ppc (pda) i have no probs with it i think it is a lot better than my tomtom 300.

i use it with a bluetooth jacket on the i paq and bluetooth gps receiver on the dash. i have all the up 2 date speed cams and use the voices that tell u what speed and make the cam are top job.

i think u would be able to use tomtom nav 5 on ure 2003 mobile i use 2002 on mine.

if u need help with geting the software just let me know and i could sort u out and the  maps  044.gif
