FastScooby Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 any idea where i could get one of these brackets for a 1 pot to 2 pot rear brake conversion
ScoobyAndy Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Assuming youve got one already how about a local fabricators?
ozzy Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Wasn't this Dyney over on Scoobynet/22b that had these machined? Other options would be Godspeed brakes in Wales.
ozzy Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 It was Dyney - http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=482538 HTH, Stefan

FastScooby Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 as far as i am aware yes... went to roemac in dunfermline to see if they can recreate it... looks promising... just need the sizes they reckon 80 - 90 quid cheaper if there is more than 1 pair
dieselpower Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I fitted a set of those brackets and two pots to the g/f's Classic and all you need is the bracket and 4 bolts.

ozzy Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 What about the handbrake drum? is the inside diameter on the larger bugeye discs the same as a classic?
dieselpower Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 It's a fraction bigger but we didn't need to adjust the handbrake afterwards
Edinburgh-Chris Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I have a set of 2pots on the back of my classic and i never used any of these fancy looking brackets that guys are making and selling for silly amounts! All we did was weld two lugs onto the existing brackets, ground and paint treated! I have had mine on for a year, done some serious braking and even changed the discs without a slight flaw, to be honest i got the calipers that cheap i could not justify spending more on a set of sexy brackets......Improvise!
