I fitted a Blitz one to my P1. You need to buy a wiring harness with it, which effectively just splices into the ignition circuit. Fairly straight foward to fit, if you've got the wiring bit.

You need to get your heed right under there. (A torch is handy too).

IIRC it's a large white connector and is likely to have the thickest wires of the bunch on them.

On the ones I've fitted (I bought a job lot once and fitted many too) , the connector was slightly to the right of the steering column centre. It is easy to reach and easy to unplug too.

The wiring adapter harness you have should have 2 plugs on it - a male and a female. Find the similar looking plugs under the dash (you'll need to take the steering cowling off) and unplug them, then plug the wiring harness in between them to complete the circuit again. Am I making any sense? The plugs you undo will lead to the ignition barrel.

I've never had to on the harnesses that I've had.

Hmmm, you could be right!!! I took mine apart so I could route the cables through and tie wrap them to appropriate places so they weren't flapping around. It's only 2 screws IIRC. I mounted my TT on the little ledge just under the speedo/tacho etc., so taking the cowling off made this all easier. I guess if you can see the plugs I refered to earlier, and you can route without taking the cowl off, then feel free!

Didn't realise you'd posted here too, but yep, you  need to get upside down with your head near the pedals to see what you're doing properly!! Torch is definitely recommended as you say !!!
