Insurance is a truly mad world! My insurance with A plan was 850 with exhaust, tints and green filter on my RB5 declared. Now sold the car and have 2001 M3. Checked insurance quote with elephant and it came out just 700 odd. Then called a plan to tell them of new car. They first said 1200 for year and 200 for remaining 2 months of policy. I told them of elephant quote and they said they'd get back to me. They duly did and offered a change over fee of just 45 notes! Its a mad mad world, how can a modified group 17 MY99 RB5 cost more to insure than a 20 grand group 20 with 100 odd horsepower more!

They view it that you will take more care of the M3 and drive it more sensibly - people are less inclined to look after older cars
