HELP

i drive a 97 type ra.

the problem is it has just started to leak water from what i think is the header tank.(left hand side if engine)

can anyone shed any light on this problem.

Is the tank leaking ? If so from where ? It has been known for these plastic expansion header tanks to crack/burst. The cap can also leak. Hoses can go brittle and split. The more info you supply, the more helpful we can be

Also easier if you have a digi camera to aid a solution online by posting up pic's of the problems you may be facing. I hope this helps you to help us help you

ok found out it is the expantion tank seal leaking .

trouble is now trying to get hold of one..

mine is the black plastic type with crimped cromme around seal and top.

anyone have one spare ???

or know where i can get one .?

A dealer should be able to order one in m8, if not you could try grade A on 01663744114..

Baz,

Try & get an alloy one from later models and modify the existing one or I'm sure some company have made alloy header tanks for direct replacements to the black plastic one's.
