STi_Bandit Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Looking at investing in a speed camera detector whats the best one to go for iam looking at the New Road Angel.
wrxmania Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I may be selling the best on the market - the Origin B2 - 3 months subscription left. SUPERB piece of kit, but pricey. Very discreet though and does not mount on your dash board - can go anywhere. Let me kow if you are interested. Got the stuff from Spooks - thanks. Brian []
FastScooby Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I have the Origin B2 as well... cant fault it yet.. i agree with the pricey bit. Works brilliant and never misses a gatso.. only one thing... Don't drop the thing.. mines is to go back on monday to get the backlight done again []
FastScooby Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I know... thats the second time [:S].. Seemingly they dont bounce very well [].. at least i will get it repaired for nought
st3ph3n Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I've been considering punting my classic road angel and just using TomTom on my PDA as my only detection. But when I drove without the road angel recently I really missed having the speed readout in such a convenient place.
Baz81 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I hear that Road Angel is the way forward, our group used to endorse the B2 but have changed to the Angel as you can't argue with the hallow !! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> If you want to go for the Angel give me a shout as I could possibly sort you with a discount..
STi_Bandit Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Ive been looking at the road angel, Iam a bit consenred about if they make laser detectors illegal then when i download updates to the road angel it will disable the laser detector to make the unit legal. Where as on the B2 you simply unplug the laser detector or sorry forget to unplugg it. Martin
st3ph3n Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Laser detection is no longer on the chopping block. Jamming is still illegal. In this country anyway. But for a really interesting read on Jamming check out what Gumball, bullrun and all around speeding legend Alex Roy has to say about them - http://us.gizmodo.com/gadgets/column/world...mers-152877.php
Baz81 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I'm speaking to the Parts manager at work to see what kind of deal he could do on Road Angels for the lads. Think their would be any interest?? [^o)]
