Baz81 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Just trying to put Names to cars.. Seen a v tidy RB5 at the dear park round about this morning.. I was gutted as i'm still dodging away in my 106 smoker while my fecked engine gets resolved..
ian_finlayson Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 That was me then, tinted windows. I've actually sold it and was going for last drive in it and going to test drive my new car. E46 M3
Baz81 Posted February 16, 2006 Author Posted February 16, 2006 Nope.. Just normal bud. Looked like the chic in the passangers seat was getting dropped off for work at teh offices at dear park. U giving up the scooby way of life?? U didn't get the M3 from a boy called steven did you from Livingston?
ian_finlayson Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Ah wasn't me then as was alone in car. Wish I'd had a chic in the car though! No as much as I don't like the dealer, braidwood, I got a pretty good deal and so bought their blue M3. Was going to trade in for a 330ci sport but managed to sell privately and so budget pushed up just enough. Don't know what the warranty will be like, but a years warranty, two new rear 19inch continentals, new front brakes and a full service and MOT swung the deal for me.

Warranty is quite good and with you having an M3 then you are in the best of hands. The guy who carries out any warranty work is a BMW specialist, M3 Motor Co. Top bloke and damn well knows his stuff. Even his transit breakdown truck has a 520 engine in it.
ian_finlayson Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Yeah bought off mark, he was hard work alright. Good job he mentioned the warranty and service on the phone yesterday. Good to hear about the good mechanic, always comforting. I assume any warranty work will be done by him too. I'm a happy boy
ozzy Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 That would have been me. Me and the girlfriend work in the same office in the wee business park. Stefan
ozzy Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 cheers m8. were you in a Scoob yourself? haven't noticed any recently, but I'm usually half-a-sleep in the mornings car would be tidier if it was actually clean
Baz81 Posted February 17, 2006 Author Posted February 17, 2006 Just got the M3 Pic.. sweet ride.. rather pimp ! No was in my 106 smoker. Oil pump failed and fried the big end on the scoob. waiting for Mr Warranty to kick in and hopefully Jimwill fix it for me !
wrxmania Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 That is a VERY nice looking car. I SERIOUSLY considered that car, chopping mine in and buying it. Really liked it - was it about 49k miles or so? Good car. Brian []

jamie_wood Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 A man after my own heart. Don't be dis heartened by the jealous people who tell stories of blown engines and wrecked Diffs on these cars. If I wasn't so poor I would have one too[]
Baz81 Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 2559b, U a local man to the Livingston post code?! Oh, is it normal to have so many RB5's is one area? thought that they were made in limited number?? lol..
ian_finlayson Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 There are about 5 or 6 of them round the central belt, that I know of. Since Friday I'm not one of them though.

Oh, is it normal to have so many RB5's is one area? thought that they were made in limited number?? lol.. Hi Baz , I used to stay in Livingston up until last July. I still work there & am in Livi nearly every day. I also play footy in Broxburn Centre every Monday & Friday morning , usually take the scoob ..... no doubt you'll see it skooting around ... This is my car here .... But more than likely , you'll only probably see THIS view ...... ....... the rear !!! [][*] LOL
