i had asked this question in general but nobody seems to know, so lets try again.

As above, ive already sourced some 75w90 milliers oil for the job, but do i need any stuff like drain plug washers or similar?

i have been led to belive that one 4.5 litre container will do both the gearbox and the rear diff, does this sound right??

so any tips would be appreciated.

thanks again.

Yip one 4.5 litre container will do. I have done this on 2 cars now and have not needed anything but a container to collect the old oil (it stinks BTW) and a funnel for refillingthe gearbox (You need to fill it via the dipstick hole). For filling the rear diff i had old smaller gearbox oil bottle with the pipe to fill it (it did take a while to get it filled up)

cheers for the reply ian, what about new drain plug seals?

this was done about a year and a half ago by AWD and i cant remember if they needed any parts other than the oil.

Its always worth putting a new washer in but Ive never had any problems with reusing the old one, its up to you, if you use the old one just keep an eye on it for a drip over the next few days.

I just done mine and re-used the same plug. The best process for doing the job you will need the following:

1No. 2litre bottle of fizzy pop(Empty) sliced at the bottom leaving a cup shape with the bottle top on the underside.

A Length of flexy PVC piping of some discription, generally its a better idea to push the pipe into the dipstick hole as apposed to over it.

black plastic bag wrapped around the bottle to stop the oil jumping back all over your nice clean engine bay.

1No. bottle of magners Cider(Empty) to act as a third hand whilst filling.

I have added some photo's for help!
