Who would you get to fit a new clutch???

Need a new clutch fitting. Who would you use to fit it and how much would you roughly expect it to cost for fitting??

Its a 3-4 hour job IIRC. You can pay 50-100 quid per hour depending on the garage or you can PM me for the bloke who does work on mine for 20 quid an hour

You have to drop the gearbox so not a easy/quick job on a scoob, most place's charge about £150.

If you're after a clutch to try http://www.apiengines.com, I got my exedy from them through a scoobynet groupby and at a good price.

Thinking of getting a fairly standard clutch as I am loooking at selling the car come the summer. Looking at one from camskill. What do you think??

Had been quoted £700 locally to supply and fit an exedy. Sounds a bit much maybe...????

If you're not pushing out more than 300bhp then I would have thought the standard will be fine.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I wouldn’t do the exedy if looking to sell.

£700! to much.

The price of both clutches is about right. As said before fitting should be no more than £150-£200, but that is based on UK prices.

Got it fitted, everything ok. Also got him to fit four new mintex discs and pads. Did a great job, would recommend him, thanks for the contact.

 

P.S cheers for letting us out. pain in the a** in the mornings getting out of that junction

Glad it went OK. He is a good bloke Ian. Wouldn't recommend him if he wasn't.
