Where can I get my Turbo Wastegate Ported?

Im hoping to get my car remapped by Mr F , heres our E-Mails

 

Hi Graeme

The only other thing I would advise is to have your turbo wastegate

ported.

The reason for this is that the boost can 'creep' up uncontrolled when

you

fit an efficient exhaust and induction to the car. The only way to get

it

under control again is to port out the wastegate hole to allow more

gasses

out.

The Ecutek Tek3 custom mapping is £500+vat. There should be no problem

fitting you in around that time. Usually I need approx 3 weeks notice

My car is an STi 9 Type UK,

I have recently had installed a Meercat 3 inch "Snakehead" straight

though system from turbo back and have an APS cold air induction kit

wing) ready to be installed nearer the time. I shall also be talking to

Greersport about getting an uprated fuel pump fitted.

I was wondering if you could furnish me with a price for your Tek 3

remap, I should be available anytime between 9th March and 28th March

as I

work a 3 week on, 3 week off shift pattern and was wondering if there

was

anything else you would recommend getting fitted before the remap.

looked at the possibility of doing this a while back when i had the standard turbo, am sure andy f has a contact who can do that for you mate. or you could just buy a bigger turbo

Cheers for the replys folks, I managed to get in touch with Colin Greer at Greersport and he says that he will pop down on Friday and whip the turbo off whilst its in getting the exhaust made and get it ported.

So theres another feather in Greersports cap
