baser999 Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 That brought a smile to my face first thing this morning "Shrek and the Shrekettes" - will they be along to sing their latest motown hit ? Sorry Geoff but it has a good ring to it lol
Deano 666 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 << scoobytoo - 19th basser999 - 19th deano 666 - 19th granby - 19th or 26th dunks -19th Shrek + Shrekettes - 19th p*rnodan - 19th or 26th >> my goodness, a date that we have agreed onam i pushing it if i ask a time?
baser999 Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 Don't push it Deano. Surely agreeing a date is good going at this stage. We have agreed on the 19th haven't we?? There was mention of perhaps stopping for a proper lunch en route - notice how I slipped into "la francais speak" there without even stopping for breath - so imagine we were looking at midday-ish or early afternoon. Suppose it depends on how many big'uns are bringing their scooblets along.

smiles Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Any of the sussex Scoobies coming, seeing as it's there manor
baser999 Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 ....be rude not to really, so have sent email to eastsussexscoobies asking if anyone would care to join us.
baser999 Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 Just had email back from Krud - yes that really is his nickname - the East Sussex Scoobies secretary. Seems they have a day already organised at the Gatwick Subaru dealership so looks as if its just the usual faces and anyone coming along from Essex
SCOOBYTOO Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 we could always pop along to them and say hello then back to hastings for fun and lunch.
smiles Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 << we could always pop along to them and say hello then back to hastings for fun and lunch. >> I would be up for that, sounds a great idea, bit of a hike but we all bought these cars to drive Did somebody also mention back for/ stop of for a Pub/ Carvery Sunday Roast
smiles Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 << I've put a thread on the Essex crew events section of Scoobynet but didn't know how to create the necessary clicky Don't know if someone can do this or whether it should have been done at the time of the posting . . . . and heres a man that was given a computer at Christmas lol. >> Free Bump to the top for you in the ESC thread
SCOOBYTOO Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 it probably will be a 10.30/11.00 start tbc. the 19th looks the most likely date now, just see if we can get a few more peeps interested.
baser999 Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 Thanks Smiles for upping our thread - that sounds a bit uncomfortable doesn't it lol As you can see from a couple of the latest postings East Sussex Scoobies are having a day out at the Gatwick Subaru dealership and there's been interest in going along en route - as they say 'watch this space' for updates! Looks like we're now settling on the 19th. See you and any other Essex crew on the day.
baser999 Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 Morning Dean - agree with the 1030 / 11 start - this would give us time for a bit of a drive before stopping for eats - Smiles seems up for a proper bit of sunday lunch and I dare say I could probably manage a bite to eat myself. I'm also conscious of the fact that the littl'uns are going to want to eat before it gets too late. It would possibly also give anyone interested time to pop along to Gatwick - they could always catch up later. Don't know how these things usually run but perhaps we need to give it a couple of weeks and then we'll have a better idea of numbers then look to book lunch somewhere - better than going on the off chance especially for a sunday lunch, or is this being a bit too optomistic.
baser999 Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 ps........is everyone happy with the 19th? Lets decide on something definite
