paulc555 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I am absolutely delighted with my new car 01 wrx which i picked up from my new good friend in Dundee on sat....however it has uk 300 style lights and wooahhhhh id be better of with 2 candles......having spoken to the previous owner he believes that there are 100w bulbs in there.....can anyone offer any assistance as to how very quickly (before a very long night time drive on christmas eve) increase the light power on the car....it really is quite dangerous........ would a better spec 100w bulb be better or can i go brighter...
terminator Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 my solution is i will swap you for my standard headlights
spooks Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 The problem with upping the bulbs wattage is the wiring is not equipped to handle it, Id suggest ensuring that there properly aligned ( total Pain in the rear), ensuring that they have good quality bulbs ( osram or Philips) and ensure they have a good earth......... BTW UK300 lights are kinda rubbish IMHO so all of the above may make no differance. Spooks
wrxmania Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Blobeye - conversion on the front I reckon - my lights are great NAH NAH NA NAH NA!!! Just kidding - good luck - "candle power" Brian

wrxmania Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Tried it Paul - did not work as Spooks will no doubt verify... I do work for the council - does that count? Brian
G.T. Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 the lights are pretty shat , i have to drive about with fogs on when not in a built up area probably just need aligned properly careful with high wattage bulbs or blue ones as the rozzers will probably pull you for the blue ones if they are not road legal
