Neofox Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Afternoon guys, i`m making it my mission to get all the little problems sorted on my Scooby while i`m not very well. Today its the alarm, car was fitted with a Toad Ai606 when i bought it so its just over a year old and the bloomin thing is playing up. The car immobiliser works fine and all the right lights and sirens work but it the door locks they just dont work! I only have them in the front doors and neither are arming or disarming forcing me to the use the key!! how retro!! Just wondering if anyone could recommend someone that would take a look at it for me, i`m in the borders but obviously most guys are gonna be the edinburgh area so dont mind travelling. Cheers Ian P.S Anyone got a classic light cover for the interior light, broke mine putting in a new bulb
Neofox Posted December 18, 2005 Author Posted December 18, 2005 Still needing some Edinburgh names if anyone has any please.
ScoobyAndy Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Try auto teck at Longniddry or ask Chris as he uses Scotts in Haddington. Good luck Ian

evolutionice.com Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 probably a fuse mate. check up behind your dashboard as that is where they are generally located. Otherwise try in the drivers kickpanel. HTH and isn't considered a commercial post Gav.
Neofox Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Tried the fuses they are fine. I can hear a tick-tick-tick noise it last for about 3 seconds when i turn the ignition off and if i alarm or disarm the control box ticks too.
evolutionice.com Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 the ticking when you turn off the ignition is likely to be the auto-unlock feature. The ticking on arm and disarm will be the relays for the central locking and indicators that are inside the brain of the alarm. This is all normal. I would have a look for a red/yellow and a red/black wire coming out of the main brain of the system. Check that they are both showing 12v+. There should also be a blue/yellow and a grey/yellow. They should show a ground (12v-) Finally there should be a grey/red and a blue/red. The grey/red should show 12v+ on locking and 12v- at rest. The blue/red should show 12v+ on unlocking and 12v- at rest. HTH.
