jamie_wood Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 We wont ever forget him and we never should. It was good that he saw the support he had from all his fans round the world, not just here in the UK. It would have helped him over the past few years he fought against his illness. There can be nothing worse than the feeling of being alone when going through something as terrible as Richard did. I just hope I never have to experiance it as I dont think I could be as positive and brave as he was. He was the "Gentleman" as they say. Not big headed and was always willing to learn from the more experienced guys in the game when he was still up and coming. Still remember his first year in the Impreza and he was entertaining but also fast. A few hairy moments and unlucky ones too, but thats just the way of the sport. No matter how you look at what he achived over his rally years....he was one of the top men. With a World rally Championship win under his belt, no one can say he wasnt the best Lets not forget him
