Fuel Pressure?

If you want to remain " all Defi", sorry to say that there isn't an Defi BF AFR gauge availableface-icon-small-sad.gif

EGT's are of no real use to you right now, not until you modify and remap the car to seriuos power!

What benefit does an EGT gauge give you?? I know why you would use other gauges... but never really found out why an EGT is needed on highly modded cars, maybe I should have one on the Celica!? face-icon-small-blush.gif

EGT's are monitored for the same reason that AFR is.

The leaner you run at the top end (more power), the higher the EGT's. On a Scoob, 900 degrees C is about as high as you want to go!

Also the car will run a LOT faster if you thrash the car with 700 degrees EGT rather than pootling around town 300-450 EGT) and then blasting off! It does make a difference, at least it does in my RAface-icon-small-happy.gif

No Defi BF as such but there is a stand alone matching AFR 60mm guage

Agreed that EGT would be better further down the line. Mine became useful when nailing it over a ton and watching the EGT rise due to the phase one intercooler struggling.

Similar reason for me changing from STi8 TMIC to FMIC - 402bhp through a TMIC caused the EGT's to creep to 900-ish and that's in the winter! Wasn't wanting to richen up the top end too much or retard the ignition so went FMIC....all is good now!

That's the problem though with an Autometer special - if it goes TiT$ up on you, trying to get spares will be costly!

Get a second hand Greddy or HKS one off of Ebay, Nothing ventured...............face-icon-small-happy.gif
