WHAT IS GC8

Hi everyone

I've not had my impreza long and still have alot learn. I have got a 1999 impreza wagon classic (uk car) and i've started to make a few changes to it. I have seen the letters GC8, is this related to my car? will silicone hoses that fit a GC8 WRX STI fit my car? or am i reading in to this too much and actually its a part number for a lemon fresh air freshener.

gc8 is the model/chassis code.

if you lok at your vin no. it has those 3 digits in.

For UK yours will start JF1 (then usually) GF8 (JF1GF8..............)
