I'm needing 4 new tyres any recomendations on what make and where to buy, i was think Toyo T1-R's ?

Also the tyres at the moment are 215/45/17 and i get no rubbing of the arches ect even when 4 up, but would 215/40's be better on a classic ?

Hi Des

If you want my advice about tyres please go to the general discussion area and look at the thread called "new tyres". Its about 2nd last on the first page. (If you can be bothered)

Don't know where everyone gets their tyres on here but Costco is cheap for Michelins.

I am a goodyear fan now but used to swear by the toyos. In edinburgh you will find Damien at HiQ in Bankhead Avenue the man with the best prices.

Ye costco do have some great prices on michelin pilot sports, i was in there last week as my m8 works in there tyre bay but they dont stock 215/40/17 only 205/40 or 215/45/17face-icon-small-sad.gif

Can't decide either F1's or Toyo T1r's.....face-icon-small-confused.gif ( 215/40/17 )

Takes long enough to choose the right tyres , can't wait to try and choose front discs and pads.......face-icon-small-blush.gifface-icon-small-confused.gif

Eagle F1's for me.... T1-S Toyos were alright, but heard a few bad stories about the T1-R Toyos, dont seem to have a high level of grip in damp/wet conditions.

I'm pretty sure they were £115 fitted, 225/45/17 were only £105 you would think more rubber = more costface-icon-small-confused.gif
