billyboy Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 On the original Santa cruise post i mentioned my nephew was going in to Yorkhill last Wednesday for major surgery. Well the good news is hes home, fit and running around like a madman. This is why we have to give pressies for the unfortunate ones who are in over crimbo. For those of you who didnt get up to the ward last year and see the courage of these kids. Its very humbling, take it from me. Billy Donate a present please. Thanks

Gumball Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Billy, Glad he is home and well and running about like a tweeked STI A couple of months ago my 15 year old cousing Charlie collapsed with a heart attack and also had a stroke due to a hole in his heart. Charlie and his brother Sean both play football for Celtic Boys Club and without a shadow of a doubt have the skills to grow older and play for a team professionally. Now Charlie is in a wheelchair and doesnt have the use of his legs. The boy is a real wee soldier and doesnt seem to get depressed that hes in Yorkhill and may not be able to play football with his brother again. Hopefully, and there is hope that he may get better and continue fulfilling his dream !!!!! i hope he does (for the right team and is a true example of a shining star that we will be helping with the Santa Cruise. As i said before i am sscheduled to travel down south on business that weekend, but if i can i will be there and give people like Charlie something to remember and also something to keep them happy over Christmas. Heres Hoping these kids get better soon, and heres hoping that Scottish Scoobies Members make the effort to support this invaluable cause.
