I have recently fitted the very same tyres and they are awesome

Fitted to my STI and noticable changes are

Less Cabin noise than the RE70 Bridgestones

OK in the dry not as good as the 70's

AWESOME in the wet compared tothe 70's

And yet to get snow but all i have read leads me to think that they will be AWESOME

Grab a bargin

Well

Snow has fallen and so far so good

Got Stuck on a Brae behind a Jag, He was stuck in the Slushy Snow, He got in to the side of the road and the Scooby went up as if it was dry no spin at all just gripped and went.

So early signs are good

ps JohnS Nice to see you todayface-icon-small-happy.gif

Can't beat the Nokian's in the winter and they would be hard to beat in the wet as well face-icon-small-wink.gif They do flex...and can be fun when pushing on, but then they do start out with 8 mm tread on them.

I have 4 x 225/40/18 with 6 mm tread on them in the garage here; that I might sell if anybody needs them. Don't plan on running the Scoob this winter.

See here for info posted last year.

Nice indeed to meet you again Craig.

Just wish I had those tyres on last night for my journey home. Was a bit slippery in places, but still a reasonable amount of fun until it comes to stopping face-icon-small-wink.gif

It's all gone to slush today.

Went in past Costco last night. They have Michelins Alpin PA2 tyres for £117 each fully fitted in 225/45x17, but starting on 1st December, there's 20% off if you buy a set of 4, so works out at about £95 each full fitted.

Might still go for the Nokians though.
