irish al Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Fitted my turbo timer today. Works fine but i cant turn on the alarm while the car is still running. Any suggestions on how to overcome this ???
colinj Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Cant be done....unless you buy a clifford alarm with built in turbo timer
alistair_learmonth Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 You just lock the doors by key. If you want to secure it by alarm to the Sigma standard scooby fit, you got to wait till its done its thing. Or fit a more modern good quality alarm like a clifford, etc.
jcscoob Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 No joy, you just have to wait, if im just nipping in to a shop or some thing i just lock the door
colinj Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 It is actually illegal to leave your car counting down on a TT unattended.......you can be fined for it - just incase some of you guys didnt know
irish al Posted November 20, 2005 Author Posted November 20, 2005 Thats typical. I only got it so i dont have to sit arround in the car like a prat when i park up. Anyone know how long I should set the turbo timer for ??? I dont bother much over short distances and just turn the car off but not sure about longer driving or where my right foot has been an ickle twichy.
alistair_learmonth Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 I have two settings on mine, set them at 50 secs and 1 min.
