Cecil Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I have found a spare £1000 to spend and want to know what to do next with the money!!! Have only done a few things shown underneath Was thinking about a vf34 turbo but quoted £1100 fitted anything else?
granby Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 << Was thinking about a vf34 turbo but quoted £1100 fitted anything else? >> Blimey only takes a couple of hours to fit, who quoted you that price which i assume is supply & fit, did you not get hold of that turbo that i posted up for sale on scoobynet
HOL Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 TD05 20G if you want to go past 400bhp one day or aTD05 18G if you would be happy with 360BHP-ish one day. Either way and what ever turbo, you will need a remap.
Cecil Posted October 28, 2005 Author Posted October 28, 2005 Yes already gone Granby even though i emailed him when you put the link on!!! That was from Sanspeed £700 for the turbo with an exchange for mine and £400 for oil and gaskets. Is that alot? where did you get yours? If anyone sees one let me know!!! Hol have already had an ecutek remap!

Dalthegooner Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 That was from Sanspeed £700 for the turbo with an exchange for mine and £400 for oil and gaskets. Is that Sanspeed in Bexleyheath? Not very good IMHO. Would never let them anywhere near my baby with tools in their hands.
HOL Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I bought a low milage 20G for £640. when I was looking to fit a 2.5 Bottom end. New they are Just under the £1000 mark. (See Scoobyshop). A TD05 18G, converted to Front entry will be around £400, second hand for a good one. The trouble with a new Turbo is, that other things will need to be uprated. If I remember rightly, your car is based on the WRX?, so you will need a set of STI Injectors and perhaps a Walbro pump. That's approximately another £300.00. Still in Budget, if you fit yourself.
