scott_coull Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Going away to Bulgaria in Jan for a weeks Snowboarding, wondering if any of you guys know where to get good value winter sports holiday insurance from. Cheers Coulster
gus the bus Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Try "insure and go" I used them last year to go to Canada. (and the year before that, and the year before that etc....) Gus
peter_macgowan Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Im £120 for the year with Berry Birch and Noble for my partner and I. Very cheap for a years travel insurance for 2 including winter sports. Check your bank as well I know with Lloyds TSB with select account travel insurance is included. Depends what bank your with and what account you have. Where are you going in Bulgaria ? I was in Andorra last year and I have been thinking about going to Bulgaria or Austria around Jan/Feb
scott_coull Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 Im with lloyds tsb, got free travel insurance with my account but its an extra £54 for the winter sports insurance and the cheapest ive seen yet online is £25 so I won't be asking Lloyds for insurance. Im heading to Borovets in Jan and really looking forward to it. Was meant to be stayng in the Rila 4* but the flight from Glasgow has been pulled and means we would have to travel to Manchester which I aint prepared to do. So after a search online we are getting a flight from Edinburgh which is closer but we've had to downgrade to 3* due to availability and dates. Plus side is ive saved a bit of cash over original holiday price and only half hour in the car to Edinburgh. Hope we get a good season in Scotland this year. Cheers guys Coulster
Iaing Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I usually go with tesco or egg Normally around the £25/30 mark for the week. Be wary of cheap policies! Its worth paying an extra fiver or so if it means you can buy replacements to the same value should your stuff get lost! Iain
WRC No 1 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Talking about £40 with the post office im sure you could maybe get it a bit cheaper!!! Claire
