Raveupdave Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 The dead has been done and I am scoobyless.............................................................................. Circumstances required that it had to go and so I traded it a local garage. I met the new owner today ( new SWS/SIDC member in the making?) who seems a nice guy and well clued up and apparently saw and purchased my Scoob 30 mins after I left it at the garage. Quick sale or what ! He contacted me for a chat and has forward plans to take the car forward. He has already purchased a front mounted intercooler and is going to decat the downpipe making it fully decated. So she looks in good hands and not with some chav who will use and abuse my pride and joy! It was hard to see her again tonight and see it drive away..........sounded GEORGEOUS though !!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER MIND!
Louise_Rat Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 awwwwww at least the scoob has gone to someone who is gonna look after it , must be nice knowing its gone to a real enthusiast

Raveupdave Posted October 23, 2005 Author Posted October 23, 2005 not done that many miles yet but the switchable traction control could make it interesting !!

graham_crane Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 move on, the ford sounds fun.........for a bit
neil_gibson Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Glad to hear your car went to a good home Dave....feels a bit wierd handing over the keys doesn't it. My car went around a month or so ago now....being replaced with a 172 Clio so pretty similar to the focus. Hope all goes well
Raveupdave Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 Hope you enjoy the Clio 172 neil. I will still be around and on site Louise, you never know if circumstances change another Scoob is not out of the question !!!!
neil_gibson Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Will do Dave...picking it up tmw (fingers crossed) I did look into ST170 as it's a great looking car and apparently very, very good handling wise. I may also be back into Jap turbo cars in a while but will be going down evo or R33/34 route Take it easy
Raveupdave Posted October 27, 2005 Author Posted October 27, 2005 Hi Neil, hows the renault 172..........................................? Dave
neil_gibson Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Hi Dave Only driven it back from where I brought it (15 miles or so) and a few miles here and there so I haven't fully got used to it....all I can say is it's built well, the steering feedback is amazing and the economy is great compared with my old car. Only problem is the abuse I'm going to get....I've already had Ed calling it a dinky toy!
edmondo Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 .............you really enjoyed working on a grown up car last night neil didnt you?
neil_gibson Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Oh Ed you are a funny chap Yes, it was good to see and work on the good old EJ20 engine again but Iwouldn't want to own one again due to the responsibility involved.
