darryl_martin Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Just got back from xtreme scoobies having had my car serviced by them (and a few other bits) for the first time and feel I have to say top bunch of people. Very happy with the car and the bill was cinsiderably less than I expected! Worth the miles and getting up at stupid o'clock this morning

darryl_martin Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 I decided on the service about a month ago but then put spark plugs and refitting of the airbox on top this morning and the final price was only the cost of the spark plugs over the quote(ish), so happy with that. Dartford tunnel, worked in Brentwood for about two years so had to go through everyday but only put on a "tunnel worthy" zorst after I left and I now work this side, have to settle for the medway tunnel now, although I might have opened it up a bit this morning to get the full effect, there was only me and another truck in there at the time

PP Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Padtwo did they take a look at your turbo following the 'smokey room syndrome' at SVA ?
darryl_martin Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 Mentioned i'd been to a rolling road and there'd been a bit of smoke from the engine which went once they'd turned on the extractor fans for the exhaust! Seemed to think it was just that so didn't get them to check it too closely. Did read somewhere that if you get a bit of smoke from the oil seals the remedy is to remove the blockage, then check again. Still driving withmy fingers crossed
