Well as it happens the next run I did after my 11.94, it kind of went the same as Swanie, 1.5 bar boost then squirted the nos & BANG, but I worded stronger than oops. So it is a rebuild for me as the block is cracked, have not opened it to see the internal damage yet.

I later found out that the standard bottom end is only supposed to be good for 350bhp so I think this is where I went wrong, I am happy that I managed to break into the 11 sec bracket before it blew. Hope to see you at crail in the future

The std bottom end is good for over 400bhp when properly tuned. I know of at least 6 cars that have run for years at this level.

A lot of N2O isn't a good idea on a small turbo as the extra exhaust gas that is created has nowhere to go, the wastegate is only sized for the turbos maximum flow normally (some even struggle with that)

The result is usually short lived :eek:

I still have bad memories of playsatan waving bye bye to me on the line as i sat with all 4 wheels spinning at the reline as he disappeared after a nice 4 grand launch...... fecker. That was the beginning of the end of that gearbox.
